About Fiona

Registered Acupuncturist in Mississauga (R.Ac.)

Languages: English, Cantonese, Mandarin

Fiona Kou is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) at M City Holistic Therapy Clinic in Mississauga, licensed by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. Fiona was trained at the Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she completed her Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. For patients who’ve wondered why their treatment plan feels unusually structured and specific, that business background is a key part of her clinical approach.

Conditions She Works With

There’s a particular kind of patient Fiona Kou sees often: someone who has been managing an existing health condition for days, weeks, months, or even years, and has tried other treatments that haven’t helped.

Beyond maintaining overall health and boosting the immune system, Fiona regularly works with:

  • Pain Management: Cervical, lumbar, and sciatic pain, Bi syndrome, sports injuries, and motor vehicle accident recovery.
  • Internal Wellness: Insomnia, stress, anxiety, headaches, migraines, and digestive concerns.
  • Specialized Care: Infertility, gynecological conditions, and facial acupuncture.

Fiona looks at the patient’s overall wellness by treating the “root” cause of imbalance rather than just symptoms. Temporary relief isn’t the goal. Lasting change is.

Success Story: Fertility Case

“I treated a couple who were trying to conceive for 2 years. They had tried IUI previously but no luck. I was super excited the moment I learned from the husband that his wife got pregnant after her 4th Acupuncture treatments with me. The wife came for treatments once a week consistently and even convinced her husband to come for Acupuncture as well.”

How She Treats

Fiona integrates acupuncture, cupping therapy, Chinese herbal therapy, and dietary/lifestyle guidance. These are not used as a fixed protocol, but are carefully selected based on what benefits the patient most at their specific stage of care.

The first session includes a detailed intake to help her properly diagnose the patient’s health condition. She takes the time to listen to the patient’s chief complaint and explain how acupuncture helps as the treatment progresses. By the end of the first appointment, most patients have a much clearer sense of what’s driving their condition and what their treatment plan will look like.

Fiona emphasizes that consistency and adherence to follow-up treatments are vital for improving health outcomes. A patient who understands their own care makes better decisions, leading to better results.
